September Update
Dear gentle Po-Folk,
There is a lot to howl about in the Wolf Den this fall.
A Picture Book
My brand-new picture book, The Blanket Where Violet Sits, is now available everywhere! It stars a girl eating a sandwich on a blanket, in a park, in a city, on a planet, in a solar system, in a galaxy, in a universe! As she looks through her telescope, Violet sits at the center of it all, surrounded by starlight and love.
We had a fun interactive live-streamed book launch, Thursday, September 1st, with Malaprops Bookstore. The book’s illustrator, Lauren Tobia, joined us all the way from London, England! How cool is that?
A Pioneer Novel
My historical YA novel about the 1846 Donner Party pioneers, The Snow Fell Three Graves Deep, was chosen as a Los Angeles Times Book Award finalist. It will be released in an affordable paperback version this October.
In-Person Author Visits
In-person author visits are BACK! As many of you already know, I offer fun, interactive author visits and poetry presentations based on my many books. This fall I’ll be featuring poems about space and the solar system from The Day the Universe Exploded My Head, and garden poems from Behold Our Magical Garden.
I’m adding to the calendar for Fall and Spring of the 2022-2023 school year and beyond. Presentations already scheduled in NC, TN, VA, WV, OH, CT, and TX.
You can find more info on my presentations HERE.
Be well, do good, and …
Metaphors be with you!
